As you know, a song can be about anything at all. The first part of the assignment is to choose a topic you like and write a song in English. It can be very short or it can be long. I will choose two or three of my favorites and I will put your song to music. At the end of the semester, I will send you a video of the songs, performed by Uncle Jesus.
The second part of the assignment is to think of a band name. If you were in a band, what would you call it?
Remember: your song can be about anything you want! Your pet, your family, your boyfriend or girlfriend (or the person you wish was your boyfriend or girlfriend!) or anything else on earth! It can rhyme if you want it to. It can have verses and choruses, or just verses. The point is, a song is whatever you want it to be!
